The U and Palestino express discomfort over restrictions by the authorities

Tensions between Chilean football clubs and authorities intensify as They implement restrictions on capacity for the First Division National Championship matches. The University of Chile and Palestino have expressed their discontent with the measures imposed by Seguro Stadium and the Presidential Delegation.

In a statement released through its social networks, La U announced its return to the National Stadium to face Audax Italiano on date 2 of the championship. However, the club regretted that, of the 43,000 people requested for capacity, only 32,000 have been authorized to attend.

“It bothers us that, despite our tremendous efforts and being the only Club with the willingness and ability to implement the National Fan Registry on this date, our people are punished again in a discriminatory way with a reduced capacity”, the blues launched in their publication.

The lay team criticized the lack of transparency in the decisions and directly summoned Seguro Stadium, Carabineros and the Presidential Delegationquestioning the discrimination towards his fans.

The Presidential Delegation authorized us to go out for exchange and sale for this Saturday’s match against Audax Italiano, with a capacity of only 32,000 people, on the recommendation of Estadio Seguro and Carabineros due to reports that we are not aware of.

For its part, Palestino also issued an official statement on its website expressing its annoyance at the restrictions for the match against Cobreloa at the La Cisterna Municipal Stadium.

The unilateral decision of the authorities implies the prohibition of visiting public and a reduction in capacity, as well as an increase in security. The club accused discrimination and mismanagement, pointing out that these decisions negatively affect their fans and the atmosphere in the stadium.

“We deeply regret this discrimination that the authority makes with our club due to vandalism by fans of other clubsa situation that exceeds our possibilities, since we always like to receive the largest number of Palestinian fans, and above all receive visiting public in what is our home,” the Palestinian team noted in the statement.
