4 years have passed since the last appearance of the leader Adel Imam in the “Valentino” series, after which he chose to move away despite his fans’ nostalgia for him and his name being associated with more than one film and television project.
Four years that saw a lot of talk about Adel Imam’s retirement, a rumor constantly denied by his family, who assured that the leader was working on a project through which he would return among his fans.
But director Rami Imam chose to definitively close the controversy, even if he did not explicitly speak about his father’s retirement from acting, but he wanted to definitively end and close the issues related to the leader’s new artistic step.
Rami Imam declared, on the sidelines of his presence at the “Joy Award” ceremony in Saudi Arabia, that Adel Imam has chosen to dedicate himself to family life with his grandchildren in the coming period.
Rami Imam’s statements revealed the family’s desire to stop asking questions about Adel Imam’s next step, especially since he stated that he had received many questions during the last period, so he chose to answer categorically, in order to provide l information, even if he had not announced his official retirement.
Adel Imam’s appearance is now limited to very special occasions: he appeared at the “Joy Award” concert with a special audio message, and in recent years he also appeared with telephone interventions that did not last more than one minute to reassure the public . .
The leader chose to stay with his eight grandchildren, who have held a special place with Adel Imam for many years.
Adel Imam previously appeared in a television interview broadcast on MBC Misr, accompanied by his nephews when they had 6 grandchildren, and spoke about them and the difference they make in his life.

The eldest grandson is Adel, son of director Rami Imam, named after his grandfather, Adel Imam, and his brother Ezz El-Din after him. The host also talked about Amina, Hala and Camellia Paper. After the marriage of Muhammad Adel Imam, a new couple was added to the list of grandchildren.
The leader recounted many of the comic ironies that united him with his grandchildren: there was a birthday for two of his grandchildren and when he went out to celebrate with them he found a large number of children, which prompted him to comment saying : “I went out and found all the charity architecture here.”
He also pointed out that he once lost his temper with his grandchildren, when he wanted to sleep, but couldn’t because his grandchildren were playing with their friends and making fighting movements, which prompted him to go out and yell at them. of them, which made his grandson Adel angry at the time, so his grandfather apologized to him.

Commenting on the issue of the leader’s retirement, art critic Tariq El-Shenawy spoke to Al-Arabiya.net, underlining that Adel Imam is an exceptional case in the world and that he has a gift that does not come after the others, indicating that there is no comedy star who stays at the top for 40 years, due to a change in the language of comedy, and therefore it is impossible for a comedy star to cross generations, as Adel Imam did.
Regarding Adel Imam’s retirement, El-Shenawy confirmed that those around the leader knew that after “Valentino” he would decide to step away, despite all the news spreading about his presence in a new artistic work.
El-Shenawy stressed that the leader is in good company, as was evident in the audio recording shown at the “Joy Award” ceremony, where he was strongly present in the recording.
“The story of Adel Imam does not need to be added”, so commented the art critic waiting for a new work by the leader, considering that what Adel Imam is going through is a normal human condition due to physical energy, and therefore it is not in his interest to go down and shoot a new job now.
