More than 40,000 voter signatures collected for the defense of Zahid Oruj, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Center for Social Studies, who nominated his candidacy in the extraordinary presidential elections, were submitted to the Central Election Commission (CEC).
Publika.az informs that together with the signatures specified in the Election Code, information on the amount and sources of the candidate’s income, including documents on the property owned by him based on the right of ownership, and the preliminary financial report were also submitted to the CEC by adding to the voter’s signatures.
It should be noted that the nomination of 17 people for the presidency has been confirmed so far.
CEC on December 19 by the ruling New Azerbaijan Party Ilham Aliyevconfirmed his candidacy for the presidency. Ilham Aliyev’s candidacy for the presidency was registered at the CEC meeting held on December 30.
