He proposed to Jodie Haydon with a specially designed ring on Valentine’s Day at The Lodge, the Prime Minister’s official Canberra residence.
Albanese, 60, met Haydn, 45, at a business dinner in Melbourne in 2020.
The couple released a joint statement about their engagement. In a statement, they said, ‘We are thrilled and delighted to share this news with you. We want to spend the rest of our lives together. We are so lucky to have found each other.’
New Zealand leader Christopher Luxon and TV chef Nigella Lawson congratulated the couple, along with parliamentary colleagues.

Prior to this, Albanese was married to former New South Wales Deputy Premier Carmel Tebbutt. 23-year-old Nathan Albanese is their son. After 19 years of marriage, they got divorced in 2019.
