Hengqin, China (ots/PRNewswire) – On May 26, the 2024 Hengqin Global Investment Promotion Conference and Subforums (abbreviation: the Promotion Conference) were held.

The conference was attended by Liu Xianfa, Special Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China, Li Weinong, Director of the Executive Committee of the Guangdong-Macao Intensive Cooperation Zone in Hengqin (abbreviation: the Cooperation Zone), Huang Zhihao, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee and Mayor of Zhuhai, Nie Xinping, Fu Yongge and Su Kun, Deputy Directors of the Executive Committee of the Cooperation Zone and other government officials. The conference also attracted over 1,000 investors from the Macao Chamber of Commerce and key domestic and foreign enterprises. The guests who attended this conference came from 42 countries and regions such as Portugal, Brazil, Singapore and Malaysia, etc. The participation opportunities have expanded greatly compared to last year.
Li Weinong said in his speech that Hengqin is entering the “heyday” of trade and investment opportunities at this time. He would like to invite domestic and foreign entrepreneurs to invest in Hengqin and share the development opportunities.
Su Kun promoted and presented the open investment environment in the cooperation zone. He also emphasized that the four major growth industries are facing a large number of positive developments and new development opportunities since the introduction of classified management in the cooperation zone.
At the invitation of this conference, representatives of Wisewave (Zhuhai) Technology Co., Ltd. and Airbus Corporate Helicopters China shared their investments and developments in Hengqin.
Nine research experts, scholars and entrepreneurs have been invited to serve as “Hengqin Recommenders”. They will work with six “Hengqin Spokesmen” to promote Hengqin around the world. The “Hengqin Recommenders” interview series will be broadcast from June.
In addition, one of the highlights of this year’s conference was the exhibition of achievements of the four major growth industries, which showcased the industrial development achievements in the cooperation zone in recent years. By the end of the conference on the evening of May 26, more than 69,000 people watched the online live promotion conference.
On May 27, several sub-forums were held together with the conference, covering topics such as integrated circuits, traditional Chinese medicine, brand industries, modern finance, cultural tourism, exhibition, trade and cross-border e-commerce, etc. The industry representatives discussed industrial development intensively with each other, thereby building a bridge for communication and cooperation in the industries.
