Tunisia, October 25, 2023 (LANA) – The curtain came down on the African Rowing Championship, which qualifies for the 2024 Paris Olympics, hosted by Tunisia, with the participation of 20 countries and 168 athletes. The national rowing team participated with eight athletes from different categories, namely junior, intermediate and senior. The most notable results of the team were as follows: 1. Muhammad Bakra – He participated in the qualifiers for the Paris Olympics in the heavyweight singles, and ranked first in Final B. 2. Musaab Fawzi Abu Deeb – He participated in the middle singles in the fifteenth African Championship, and ranked fifth. 3. Mahmoud Abdel Razzaq Al-Zawawi – He participated in the lightweight men’s singles category for under 23 years of age, obtaining sixth place. He also participated in the lightweight doubles category for under 23 years of age with the athlete Ayad Bakra, and obtained third place and a bronze medal in the tournament. 4. Ayad Hussein Bakra – He participated in the under-23 heavyweight doubles, and ranked fourth with the athlete Akram Al-Hari. He also participated in the senior heavyweight doubles, and ranked sixth with the athlete Munther Al-Marghani. 5. Safwan Salah Al-Kreikshi – participated in the middle doubles and ranked sixth with athlete Adam Ashraf Al-Ammari. 6. Adam Ashraf Al-Ammari – He participated in the middle doubles and got sixth place with the athlete Safwan Al-Kreikshi. 7. Munther Khaled Al-Marghani – He participated in the heavyweight doubles, and got sixth place with the athlete Ayad Bakra. 8. Akram Ali Al-Hari – participated in the under-23 heavyweight doubles, and got fourth place with the athlete Ayad Bokra. (And – Tunisia)
