In this direction, the mechanisms of the municipality, especially the construction site, will be on full alert all the coming days and I am sure that our municipality will have an excellent image that will leave the best impressions on both citizens and visitors,” said Mr. Begas.

Apart from Ioannina, Metsovo, Zagori, Konitsa and Tzoumerka are chosen by many visitors.
Along with the visitors, of course, expatriates also return who traditionally celebrate Easter in their villages.
The flights from Athens for the entire Holy Week are overbooked, while the traffic with the KTEL buses is also expected to be increased.
Visitations began on Holy Wednesday and culminate on Good Friday.

A pole of attraction for many visitors are the Easter customs of the region, with that of the procession of Epitaphs standing out.
This year, the meeting of Epitaphs from the Parishes of the city of Ioannina for the second year in a row will take place at the town hall as the central square remains closed due to the works being carried out.
The meeting of the Epitaphs will take place at ten in the evening, while from nine o’clock the Philharmonic of the Municipality will be at the venue, which will perform mournful hymns.
The meeting of Epitaphs is expected to gather a large number of people again this year and is accompanied by traffic regulations.
