In addition, the centenary of “The maelstrom” by José Eustasio Rivera, coinciding with the participation of the department of Huila and its capital, Neiva, in the FILBo. An exhibition dedicated to this iconic work explored the historical and geographical context in which the novel is set, giving visitors a deeper understanding of its cultural significance.
FILBo also extended beyond Bogotá, with extensive programming in other cities and regions of Colombia. Through alliances with public libraries, cultural centers and cultural secretariats, the Fair reached places such as Quibdó, Chocó; Nariño; Medellin; and Pereirathus promoting the decentralization of the literary and cultural offer in the country.
Finally, FILBo reaffirmed its commitment to inclusion by organizing 30 events with sign language translation and providing accessible materials for people with disabilities. The FILBo Inclusive strip, in collaboration with various organizations, strived to ensure that all visitors could fully enjoy the Fair.
