Benghazi, December 15, 2023 (Al-Anbaa Al-Libya) – The delegation of the first Libyan basketball team departed this morning, Friday, heading to the Egyptian capital, Cairo, to participate in the Arab National Team “Men’s” Basketball Championship in its 25th edition.

The Arab Championship will start on December 26 until January 3, 2024, while (10) teams will participate in this edition, namely Egypt, the host country, the Emirates, Kuwait, Algeria, Tunisia, Jordan, Mauritania, Somalia, in addition to To our national team.

Before heading to the Egyptian capital, Cairo, to enter a short training camp in order to compete in the Arab Championship for national teams, our team had previously conducted an external camp in Tunisia and an internal camp in the city of Benghazi, during which it held a number of friendly matches, during which the national team’s coach examined the possibility and readiness of the players to compete in the tournament. It should be noted that the Lebanese coach Fouad Abu Shaqra chose 14 players, namely Muhammad Al-Saadi, Nassim Badroush, Mohsen Al-Akrami, Ghaith Al-Rahman Muftah, Idris Ziou, Anis Al-Mansouri, Ismail Al-Jahmi, and Sufyan Al-Shuwaihdi.
