According to the information, in accordance with the requirements of the Convention “On legal assistance and legal relations in civil, family and criminal cases” dated 07.10.2002, Gabitov Rinat Tursuntayevich, a citizen of that country, who is serving a sentence in the territory of Azerbaijan, on the petition of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Kazakhstan, for a period of three months A decision was made to hand it over to Kazakhstan.
It was reported that in the criminal case investigated by the law enforcement agencies of Kazakhstan, Rinat Gabitov was found to have committed the crimes of creating an organized gang, repeated economic smuggling and evasion of customs payments, and therefore an international search was issued for him. was done.
It was emphasized that on April 10, Rinat Gabitov was handed over to the employees of the competent authorities of Kazakhstan, accompanied by a special convoy of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice.
