The XL carnival weekend will continue to be hot in Tucumán and the rest of the region, although the National Meteorological Service (SMN) reported that the province is under alert as strong storms could occur during the night.

The morning started with partly cloudy skies, with moderate winds from the southwest and humidity that was close to 90%. Visibility was more than eight kilometers, while the minimum temperature recorded was 23 °C and the wind chill was 25 °C.

While cloudiness and temperature will increase during the morning, humidity will decrease markedly until midday. An average of 32 °C is expected and the thermal sensation will rise to 37 °C, the maximum announced for today by the SMN.

Starting with the siesta, the sky will be mostly covered and the first isolated rains are expected. The chances of storms will increase as the hours go by and winds and heavy rain are expected during the last hours of Monday. The temperature will drop drastically to 22°C.

The focus of storms would mark the weather conditions for Tuesday, for which new rains are expected, with different intensities, at least until noon. The minimum would be 19 °C and the maximum would be 21 °C.

From Wednesday the temperature will rise again steadily, with a peak of 35 °C maximum announced for Saturday. New rains are not ruled out.
