Vietnam Computer Lottery Company (Vietlott) has just awarded a jackpot worth more than 314 billion VND. This is the largest valuable lottery prize ever for Vietlott in particular and in Vietnam in general.
On April 23, Vietlott’s Ho Chi Minh City Branch awarded Jackpot 1 in the Power 6/55 lottery of the 1020 drawing to Mr. H. and Mr. HL with a total prize value of more than 314 billion VND.
Previously, at the 1020th prize drawing of the Power 6/55 lottery product, Vietlott determined that there were 2 winners of Jackpot 1 with a total prize value of 314,186,714,850 VND.
Through checking the lottery business data system and accompanying personal records, Vietlott determined that there were 2 players who won the prize.
The first person is Mr. H. with a ticket issued at the sales point No. 14 Xo Viet Nghe Tinh, Ward 19, Binh Thanh District, Ho Chi Minh City. Mr. H. bought a ticket that included many sets of numbers, so the total winning value was 159,607,357,425 VND.
The second lucky player is Mr. HL with a ticket issued at the sales point No. 10 Pham Dinh Ho, Ward 1, District 6, Ho Chi Minh City with a winning value of 157,093,357,425 VND.

Mr. H. is the owner of a small grocery store in Ho Chi Minh City. Mr. H. has been a regular player of Vietlott’s lottery products since 2017. Mr. H. hand-picked his lucky numbers.
He shared that around 7:10 p.m. that day, after selling, he sat down to rest and check the numbers. When he saw his winning ticket, he was very happy and immediately called his family and friends to inform him.
Mr. H. plans to spend about 30% of the bonus to take care of his siblings and family. In addition, he will invest in business, expand his business and do charity activities.
And Mr. HL works as a delivery person in Ho Chi Minh City. Every day, he spends about 50,000 VND to buy lottery tickets for good luck. He usually buys at a familiar point of sale.
Mr. HL shared: That day, after buying the ticket, he put it in his wallet and did not pay attention to comparing the results. Because it is a familiar point of sale, it has his phone number. A day or two later, the sales point called him and told Vietlott that the lottery ticket sold at the location won Jackpot 1, so he asked him to check the ticket he bought to see if he won. Unexpectedly, Mr. HL checked the lottery ticket and knew that he had won such a valuable Jackpot prize.
Mr. HL said he will use this money to buy a house and invest in business.
At the award ceremony, Mr. H. and Mr. HL donated 2 billion VND to the Tam Tai Viet Social Fund and 500 million VND to the Cai Luong Academy.
According to regulations, Mr. H. and Mr. HL are obliged to pay personal income tax at the place of ticket issuance, Ho Chi Minh City, with a total value of more than 31.6 billion VND (10% of the value exceeding 10 million VND). ) and is deducted immediately upon receiving the reward.
