There are three games left before the curtain falls on the Super League (plus the postponed PAOK-Olympiakos) and everyone’s eyes are tonight on the battle of Toumba.

PAOK wants to win to keep their hopes alive for the championship, as they also have the postponed game against Olympiacos, while AEK will be in an advantageous position against their opponents even with a draw.

In case of victory, AEK will need just two points in the two remaining games against Olympiakos and Lamia, in order to seal the second consecutive championship.

PAOK has not won against AEK in the last five home games. The last win of the North doubleheader is in regular time of last year’s championship in Toomba with 2-0.

In the five matches that followed, there were three AEK victories and two draws, which are also the last matches between the two teams. Toumba’s 1-1 for the second round of the league and New Philadelphia’s 2-2 for the Super League Playoffs.
