Yesterday it became known that the wanted Mihran Poghosyan, who is sheltering in Moscow, who is better known for his banana import monopoly in Armenia years ago, for his position as the head of the State Security Agency, for the famous Pana offshore case, and more recently for his history of importing more than a ton of drugs, which was carried out by his with the cargo of the banana importing company, has opened a party and will fight for national unity and with that unity to save Armenia, to free Armenia from the current government.

At first glance, this is nothing more than a political joke, which should be treated with respect, nothing more. However, the whole point is that the Armenian political tragedy has been unfolding under the apparently political anecdote or such anecdote-like images for almost three decades now, and it seems to have no end. Any government in Armenia would just dream that DAHAC Mihran, who was perhaps one of the most odious and discredited actors of the previous ruling system, would come out in a “holy” fight against them.

And, when today such actors are busy with political applications, regularly coming to the surface, one thing is certain that the result of all this will be the swamping of the prospect of social and political modernization of Armenia. The former ruling system with its even more odious faces, whose factor gets a more resounding entourage due to the fact that they fled to Moscow and were exiled there, is an uninterrupted and perhaps flawlessly working block for the current ruling majority of Armenia to prevent any serious prospect of political competition.

Apparently, there is also the answer to the question why and how these people were able to leave Armenia and avoid the criminal responsibility that the new government of Armenia tried to subject them to. Many have probably heard the phrase “banana state”, which symbolizes the state’s lack of content and practically complete subordination to external factors. In the case of Armenia, perhaps the concept of “banana opposition” can enter into circulation, as any government would like to have, even more so the one with a significant problem of public rating.
