In the natural world, there are always interesting and surprising moments. Sometimes, prey can miraculously escape from predators thanks to resilience and courage, combined with a little luck. Such as the case recorded by a tourist at Manyoni Wildlife Sanctuary, South Africa, below.
Accordingly, the clip recorded the moment a male Nyala antelope was chased by a lion. When realizing there was no way to escape from the lion, the antelope was forced to jump into the lake to hide.
The lion understands that the lake is the territory of another terrifying predator, the crocodile, so the animal only dares to stand on the shore and does not dare to jump into the lake to chase its prey. The lion himself also understood that the antelope could not stay in the water for long, so he patiently stood on the shore to wait.

Antelopes are hunted by both crocodiles and lions and the ending is surprising (Video: Kruger).
The Nyala gazelle stood in the water hoping the lion would leave. Too focused on the lion on the shore, the antelope did not expect that the “grim reaper” was approaching him in the water. A crocodile silently swam close to the antelope and bit the animal’s leg.
Luck still smiled at the male Nyala antelope, when he sensed movement in the water so he promptly jumped high, avoiding the crocodile’s bite. However, this is the moment it realizes it has been caught in a pincer position, with lions waiting on the shore and crocodiles in the water.
The antelope had to make a choice at a moment of survival. Finally, the antelope decided to rush ashore to face the lion, instead of staying in the water to become prey for the crocodile. The female lion also quickly took the opportunity and rushed forward to block the antelope’s escape route.
At the moment when it seemed that the fate of the Nyala antelope was decided, the animal risked its life to stand up against the predator. Nyala antelope suddenly rose up, using its horns to fight back against the lion.
