Tempi / Relatives erupt against Adeline – What was really said in their meetings

The Supreme Court prosecutor had four meetings with the relatives, with Maria Karystianou being present at two of them

Relatives of the dead in Tempi give a categorical answer to Georgia Adelini about what exactly was said in the meeting they had with her, refuting what the Supreme Court prosecutor claimed.

Georgia Adelini, speaking at the Forum of Delphi, denied that she had referred the relatives to the church. “The reason I have not been appointed so far is out of respect for the dead children, the victims of the accident that shook Panhellenium. I categorically deny that instead of assuring any relative who appealed to me to do what we should do, I referred him for consolation to the Church. I categorically deny that I behaved with this cynicism attributed to me. It would be inhumane – and for those who know me it doesn’t suit me. A false witness is the order to the Larissa Prosecutor’s Office, which says that all the questions of the relatives must be answered,” he said, among other things.

The first reaction came from Maria Karystianou who underlined that “after everything that has happened in this tragic crime of Tempe, everything that was said today (ie yesterday) by the prosecutor of the Supreme Court is obviously worthless. However, what I would like to emphasize is that it would be better for the ‘top of Justice’ to leave the comments about what was said in her office and tell us why after so many months we are still obliged to search for the remains of our dead children or explosive in adjacent fields. I also want to mention to Mrs. Adelini that everything we have stated is not a figment of our imagination, and this is proven by the very simple fact: there were also witnesses.”

And he added speaking to Lifo that “I have never had any problem with my perception in my life. So what the authorities of Justice have to do is to punish those responsible. And I declare it to you clearly: What you do will not remain unscathed, no one will remain unpunished.”

Maria Karystianou also responded through Open to Georgia Adelini, with her stressing that “no we have not lost them, our perceptive ability is excellent and we perceive more than Mrs. Adelini thinks. I’m sorry to hear her say these things. I would like to see her answer the latest facts that have seen the light of day, about the editor, the investigator and answer us why we should be looking for remains of our dead today instead of the investigation being done properly in the first year”.

According to what was conveyed by the reporter of the television station, who came into contact with relatives of the victims, the prosecutor’s answers were to find comfort in God, while when the father of the victim, Pavlos Aslanidis, showed her photos from Koulouri in one of the meetings – where there are train wrecks and dirt from the scene of the tragedy – she answered them that it is a “small, moral issue” and that she “understands them and cannot do anything”. The meetings seem to have been four, with Maria Karystianou being present at two of them. In one of them were the Plakias brothers, while in the other two were Christos Constantidis and Pavlos Aslanidis.

“Well, you didn’t force us to go to church, but you told us to go and light a candle and go sometimes to help us,” says Nikos Plakias – who lost his twin children, but also his niece – in a related post, with him mentioning that he was one of the 6 fathers who were present at the meeting with the prosecutor.

“I am the young man who was sitting in front of you on the right who in your speech to us said let everything be for a better tomorrow in our country. And my answer was that I don’t care anymore since I lost my children whether the trains are better tomorrow or not. I’m the one you told me I must be suffering from deep depression to answer like that. Let me introduce myself to you, I am Nikos Plakias, the father of the twins and my niece who were murdered in Tempi,” he emphasizes, among other things, and underlines that “after 14 months, we are still collecting our children’s belongings. But know that we will all be judged at the end of this journey, only we parents will say the final end when that time comes. That’s why you have to do the best you can for them.”

Nikos Plakias’ post in detail

I was watching Mrs. Adeline’s interview at the Delphi forum and her report about Tempi and about a meeting she had in her office on 12/12/23 in the morning with victims’ relatives

I would never say what was said there but since he mentioned it I have to come out and tell the truth

As you understand I am one of the six fathers that were present Karystianou was not present

Well, you didn’t force us to go to the church, but you told us to go and light a candle and to go once again to help us.

I am the young man who was sitting in front of you on the right who in your speech to us said let everything be done for a better tomorrow in our country

And my answer was that I don’t care anymore since I lost my children whether the trains are better tomorrow or not

I’m the one you told me I must be suffering from deep depression to answer like that

Let me introduce myself to you, I am Plakias Nikos

father of my twins and niece who were murdered in Tempe

Because I’m sure you didn’t know who I was that day, and you might be right, since my appearance generally doesn’t reflect my real age.

But let’s let it happen that day and focus on today

Today, after 14 months, we are still collecting our children’s things

But know that we will all be judged at the end of this journey only that the final end will be told when that time comes only we parents

So you have to do your best for them. Be well
