For its first participation in the World Championship in Busan, South Korea, the Malagasy men’s table tennis team is not unworthy. The Malagasy team wins a historic victory against Nigeria. Fabio Rakotoarimanana, Antoine Razafinarivo and Jonathan Nativel won by 3 victories to 1 against the Nigerians. After an initial defeat against the Czech Republic, Madagascar was able to recover. Table tennis player Fabio Rakotoarimanana achieved the perfect hold-up by winning respectively 3-0 against Omotayo Olajide and 3-1 against Bode. The player Aruna was withdrawn, which facilitated the Malagasy victory. The Malagasy team provisionally occupies third place ahead of Japan and the Czech Republic. Madagascar faces Japan today and tomorrow, Chinese Taipei. The first two teams qualify for the round of 16.
