Charleroi moved to safer places after the much-needed win against KV Mechelen. The first half proved to be particularly effective, but the end was thrilling, when goalkeeper Hervé Koffi prevented the equalizer with a world-class save. The redemption goal came during Mazzu’s time.

Welcome early push for Charleroi
Charleroi found themselves in dangerous waters for this last match of the year. Will Felice Mazzu still be the captain in 2024 who could send his team back to safer places?
After just 3 minutes, Adem Zorgane provided a welcome early push. He surprisingly won a free kick with a strong header from the edge of the area.
The message for KV Mechelen, who do not want to be dragged into the relegation swamp again, was answered quickly. Foulon and Bassette are closer, but Malinwa does not demonstrate the same efficiency as Charleroi.

Charleroi could only win 4 more times
