At high temperatures, plastic can lose its shape, and metal frames can lose their flexibility. Many glasses have special coatings on the lenses, such as anti-reflective, anti-scratch or UV protection layers. High temperatures can damage or destroy these layers,” explains Kristýna Štěbetáková from Alensa optics.
