Before the time of special control, in October 2022, SCB had a headquarters, 50 branches and 184 transaction offices.
However, after the Van Thinh Phat case was prosecuted, SCB was placed under special control and the bank continuously closed and stopped operating transaction points. To date, this bank only has 89 transaction points nationwide.
Since being under special control, SCB has closed 53 transaction offices in 9 provinces and cities.
Nam Ky Khoi Nghia transaction office is the 6th transaction office to be closed in 2024. Previously, from January 3-5, 2024, SCB closed 5 transaction offices in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang.
In Ho Chi Minh City, the closed transaction offices include: Ngo Gia Tu Transaction Office – Saigon Branch, address: No. 228-230 Ngo Gia Tu Street, Ward 4, District 10; No Trang Long Transaction Office – Gia Dinh Branch, address: No. 170V – 170X No Trang Long Street, Ward 12, Binh Thanh District.
In addition, there is My Toan Transaction Office – October 20 Branch, address: No. 988 Nguyen Van Linh Street, Quarter 3, Tan Phong Ward, District 7; Hoang Sa Transaction Office – Pham Ngoc Thach Branch, address: No. 921-923 Hoang Sa Street, Ward 11, District 3.
In Da Nang, SCB closed Hoang Dieu Transaction Office – Da Nang Branch, address: No. 340 Hoang Dieu Street, Binh Thuan Ward, Hai Chau District.
