Stabbing attack in Ramla: 18-year-old in serious condition, the terrorist was killed

An 18-year-old woman was stabbed in the afternoon (Friday) on Harduf Street in Ramla. The threat was shot by a civilian and eliminated. MDA medics and paramedics gave her medical treatment and evacuated her to Assaf Harofeh Hospital in serious condition, with an injury to her upper body. At the hospital, we were informed a few hours later that her condition had improved and was classified as moderate.

An emergency medic from the MDA’s motorcycle unit, Mandi Amitai: “We arrived at the scene quickly, we saw a young woman about 18 years old who was conscious and suffering from a stab wound in her upper body. We performed dressings and stopped the bleeding and evacuated her in an MDA intensive care vehicle to the hospital where she is conscious and in critical condition.”

The commander of the Central District of the police, Superintendent Avi Biton, said at the scene: “We are treating the incident as an attack on a nationalist background.” Superintendent Biton noted that the terrorist is a 21-year-old young man, “from a well-known family in the city, and according to evidence, mentally unstable.”

Minister Itamar Ben Gabir’s car overturned when he left the scene of the attack in Ramla. The Minister was taken to the Shamir Hospital (Asaf Harofeh) in Be’er Ya’akov where his condition is mild to moderate. The minister visited the scene and praised the citizen who neutralized the terrorist, and claimed that he received his personal weapon in recent months, as part of the reform he led.

The Office of the Minister of National Security: “During the trip from the scene of the attack in Ramla, the vehicle of the Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gabir was involved in a car accident. The police spokeswoman: “The traffic inspectors of the Central District have started investigating the circumstances of the Ramla police station involving 2 vehicles, including the vehicle of the Minister of National Security. About half an hour ago, a collision occurred at the Histadrut intersection in Ramla involving two vehicles, in which three were injured and were lightly evacuated by medical officials to the Asaf Harofeh Medical Center.
