It was presented this Friday (8) December, at the facilities of the Angolan Football Federation (FAF), the new coach of the Angolan football team, Srdjan Vasiljevic, Serbian Coach.
Serbian coach Srdjan Vasiljevic began his coaching career in 2004, and has guided clubs at various levels of football in his country, and also achieved the world football title with the Serbia under 20 team in 2015, as As assistant coach, he also played, among other roles, the role of member of the board of experts and examiners at the Serbian coaching school. As a player, he played for several clubs, including Dinamo Bucharest in Romania and Red Star Belgrade in Serbia.
In the presentation, the president of the Angolan Football Federation, (FAF) Artur Almeida e Silva. He outlined the main points that influenced the choice of the new coach of the Palancas Negras, “Professionalism, orientation towards results, knowledge and experience of Football, commitment to training, desire to win, being a permanent student of football, availability to train and pass on knowledge to their national coaches, dedication and persistence, leadership capacity” said the president of the Angolan football federation.
Vasiljevic, promised hard work, a lot of dedication and professionalism, to achieve the goals of the national team and bring joy to the Angolan nation. Among the priorities of the new coach of the national team are the choice of players for the team that will compete for Chan in 2018 , and the beginning of the team’s activities, as the first big challenge for the Serbian coach is approaching, which will be in January of next year, and because there is little time left for the team’s preparation.
For this journey in the national team, Vasiljevic’s technical team will be made up of coaches Miroslav Maximovic, former coach of Petro de Luanda, and Silvestre Pelé, former coach of Académica do Lobito, and with this technical team in charge of the national team. , there is already talk of the beginning of a new era of Angolan football, which aims to see better days.
