FIBA European Cup
On Wednesday, Latvian basketball player Kārlis Šiliņs scored 17 points in the second match of the FIBA Champions Cup tournament and helped the Göttingen team win. The Göttingen team beat the Spanish club “Bilbao” at home with the score of 82:80 (22:18, 23:16, 14:27, 23:19).

ULEB Eurocup

This season, the Eurocup playoffs have been changed. The six best teams from each subgroup will enter the play-offs. The first and second placed teams will immediately secure a place in the quarter-finals, while the other teams will play the round of 16 first. Only one match will be played in the round of 16 and the quarter-finals in pairs, while the semi-final and final series will be played up to three wins for one team. Last season the winner of the Eurocup was the Spanish team “Gran Canaria”, which chose not to play in the Euroleague for financial reasons.
