It would be a big mistake to create a political bloc that would fight for power with the current head of state in Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, and replace him.
Publika.az reports, this was said by the mayor of Kyiv, Vitaly Klitschko, while answering the question of “Should Zelensky go” by the journalist of “La Repubblica” newspaper.
“It would be a big mistake to create a cartel against Zelensky today. On the contrary, it would be a very wise move for Zelensky to unite all the forces around him. First we have to win the war and protect the country. Then our main task will be to restore the country in democratic ways,” said the mayor of the Ukrainian capital.
He added that no elections should be held in the country during the conflict, and it is legal for Zelensky to retain his presidential powers after the end of his term.
During the interview, Klitschko also talked about the dismissal of the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zalujny. According to him, Zelensky should have clearly justified his decision before the citizens, but he did not do it.
