Colonel Tofig Niftaliyev worked as the chief of the transport police in Blagoveshchensk, Russia.
He was once accused of corruption and arrested. According to allegations, Niftaliyev embezzled funds intended for police officers.
In October 2014, Niftaliyev was brought before the court on charges of corruption and possession of illegal ammunition. Illegal weapons were found in the suspect’s apartment during a search in the summer of 2011.
