Shamir Fernández accuses the municipality of erasing its walls

The candidate for mayor of Torreón for Morena and PT, Shamir Fernández Hernández, accused the Municipality of erasing its walls, for which a complaint has already been filed in this regard with the Fepade (Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for the Attention of Electoral Crimes).

He pointed out that they found city hall employees who were deleting walls with his name and assured that they were responding to a report of a complaint from a neighbor, however, he indicated that the Municipality is not the authority to react in this way, since there must be a review by part of the National Electoral Institute (INE) and the Electoral Institute of Coahuila (IEC).

“Every day we are encountering these types of actions,” he commented.

He reiterated that the Municipality does not have the power to delete fences without notification from the aforementioned electoral authorities, so they should only indicate whether or not there is permission for the painting, and the candidates should pay for the transfer of the space.

“We have all the data, we have the video when they are deleting it, we have the confessions of the municipal employees when they say that they receive orders from Fernando Villarreal,” he said.

Fernández Hernández referred to a smear campaign that seeks to scare people about the vote. He considered that the insecurity that existed a few years ago in the region is a delicate issue that should not be played with.

“No one wants what happened in 2009 or 2011 to return, except me who was a deputy, president of the Security Commission in the state Congress and who worked to ensure security here, I did eliminate casino issues,” he commented, “this type of campaigns affects the citizen”.

He assured that security will remain the same if he wins the mayoral race and rejected being linked to any type of crime.

In this sense, local deputy Antonio Attolini Murra said that the Morena and PT candidate does not have any relationship with organized crime.
