Scandal at Kostanay school: a ninth-grader hit a teacher

According to the parent of one of the students, Ilyas Zhakupov, he and his wife did not immediately learn about the incident. That day, the ninth-grader came home, then to practice, and only in the evening he said that his stomach hurt. The family had to go to the hospital.

The son said that it all started with a physical education lesson. Trainee Valery Gofman does not teach anything, but he was present at the lesson. At the same time, none of the mentors and teachers were there. As a result, the trainee insulted children and used obscene language. The son did not tolerate this and answered him,” says the student’s father.

After the lesson, the trainee went into the locker room and hit Zhakupov’s son in the stomach. In response, the student hit Hoffman in the face.

The son is a three-time champion of the Republic of Kazakhstan in kickboxing, he knows what the code of honor is, and would never attack first or insult a person out of nowhere. But at the same time, he can stand up for himself,” noted Ilyas Zhakupov.

Valery Gofman went to a medical institution and took out a certificate of bodily injury (the certificate states that he had a wound to his lip and oral cavity).

I wanted to meet with Hoffman, I wrote to him and asked what proposals he had. He answered me that I must compensate him for the damage – for the damage to the tooth and the purchase of drugs. On the day when this correspondence took place, I wanted to meet, he replied that not today. As a result, we never met, the trainee wrote a statement to the police,” says the parent.

According to the parents, they are worried that this incident will be resolved, and Goffman will continue to work with the children. Valery himself confirmed his presence at the lesson, which was taught by the second trainee. The children were noisy and did not obey, then he reprimanded them in a polite manner. At the same time, he does not demand anything from his parents.

The next day, the ninth graders themselves called me to the locker room, and when I arrived, a student hit me in the face. I didn’t touch them. Then he asked for medical help and took a certificate. The child’s parents and I were called to the local inspector, but they did not come. After that, I wrote a statement regarding the fact of causing bodily harm,” says the trainee.

The school director explained that the juvenile inspector is looking into the current situation.

As soon as he has interim results, we will get together and discuss everything. Based on the results, decisions will be made,” he said.
