Sandiaga said there are several venues or places that are usually used for concert which are already connected to this licensing digitalization. Among them are the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), Senayan, Jakarta, to ICE BSD, Tangerang.
“Firstly, we are grateful that this morning the digitization of digital-based licensing services for this event was launched by President Joko Widodo in the early stages. There are several venues that have started to be connected from GBK, ICE BSD and others,” said Sandiaga at the Sapta Pesona Building, Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Jakarta Monday (24/6/2024).
Sandiaga explained that digitizing permits can provide guarantees for event location permits so that they are not issued suddenly. It was explained that the concert permit was given a guarantee of 14 days for national events and 21 days for international events.
“As of today, because we will review each evaluation period. So we are motivated to give permission in accordance with the guidelines, namely 14 working days for national and international (events) 21 working days. This is what we must comply with,” he explained.
On the other hand, the government will also help in terms of security and quality control of the events that will take place.
By guaranteeing venue permits for events and concerts, Sandiaga believes that this will affect concert ticket prices which can be reduced by up to 20-25 percent. The reason is, one of the obstacles to the soaring ticket prices is the result of the venue licensing.
“Permits that are usually not issued until the last minute must be completed within at least 14 working days,” he said.
“We should not immediately think that there is a delay so that we cannot issue permits for each event, because it greatly affects the promotion, venue preparation and so on,” he continued.
Furthermore, Sandiaga revealed that the launch of licensing digitization is still in its early stages. He hopes that more venues will be included in this digitalization permit to make it easier to hold events in the country.
“We hope that in the future more and more venues can be reviewed by an integrated team led by the National Police so that all events can be included in the digitalization of events,” he said.
