Publika.az reports that Speaker of Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova said this during a meeting with the delegation headed by Marketa Pekarova Adamova, Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic.
He reminded that it is Azerbaijan that has put forward peace initiatives and is interested in continuing peace negotiations. Speaker Sahiba Gafarova said that Azerbaijan wants peace and hopes that the peace agreement will be signed soon.
Speaking about the large-scale restoration and reconstruction works initiated by the Azerbaijani government in the lands freed from occupation after the conflict, the chairman of the Milli Majlis said that today Azerbaijan is carrying out large-scale restoration and reconstruction works in the territories freed from occupation due to large investments: “Former IDPs have already started to return to their homes. , is proof that Azerbaijan is not interested in a new war”.
He said that the people of Azerbaijan want peace, and noted the efforts of our country to ensure lasting peace and stability in this region.
