Batting great Sachin Tendulkar is showered with wishes from the Indian cricket community on social media. Wednesday is his 51st birthday. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has wished the God of Cricket on his birthday. Sachin’s former teammates are also in that list.
The cricket legend was born on April 24, 1973. Test debut at the age of 16. In the same year, Sachin stepped into ODIs. Then history, one record after another, fell under his feet.
Summarizing his achievements in a 24-year cricket career, BCCI felicitated X, ‘664 international matches, 34357 international runs, 201 international wickets, 2011 World Cup winner. Only cricketer to score 100 international centuries. Happy birthday to the legendary Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar.’
BCCI Secretary Jai Shah praised Sachin and said, ‘Happy birthday to cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, he turned 51 today. He inspired millions with his batting prowess and possessed impeccable character on and off the field. A warm welcome to Master Blaster.’
