Two ships loaded with free Russian grain set sail from Russia to Somalia and Burkina Faso, the Minister of Agriculture of the Eurasian country, Dmitri Patrushev, reported this Friday.
According to his words, each cargo ship transports 25,000 tons of grain. They are expected to arrive at their destination ports in late November or early December.

At the same time, Patrushev noted that the country plans to send similar shipments to the Central African Republic, Zimbabwe, Mali and Eritrea at the end of the year.
In total, Russia will supply African countries with up to 200,000 tons of grain free of charge by the end of this year, the minister said.
The supplies respond to a previous commitment made by President Vladimir Putin, who announced last August that Moscow would deliver between 25,000 and 50,000 tons of grain free of charge to help six African countries, including transport service. With RT
