According to engineer Naeem Abbas, assistant manager of Pak Engineering and Automation, a machine-making company, needle gas is a gas rather than a liquid, so it catches fire quickly. While liquid petroleum gas or LPG is in liquid form, it needs to be converted from liquid to vapor or gas in order to burn it.

According to Naeem Abbas, ‘LPG is a liquid in a cylinder and when used as a common household fuel, it turns from liquid to vapor at normal temperatures. But if LPG is used as a commercial or industrial fuel, large quantities are required and such large quantities cannot be converted into vapors at normal temperatures.

‘For commercial or industrial use of LPG as a fuel, it has to be piped with hot water and doing so in a vessel can be dangerous. So we made this machine which is very safe. This can save the industries which are closing down due to gas shortage by using LPG as fuel.’

Talking to Independent Urdu, Naeem Abbas said that in a city like Islamabad, there is usually no gas in winter, in such a case, a LPG storage tank of this machine was installed in any residential building and connections were made to all the houses in that building.
