Resort flights to Europe resumed from Kazakhstan

Seasonal summer flights to the picturesque European cities of Heraklion and Podgorica have resumed, Liter.kz reports.

According to press service Air Astana, flights from Almaty to Heraklion, located on the island of Crete, will start on June 6 with a frequency of three times a week on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Flights are carried out on an Airbus A321LR airliner with a flight duration of 6 hours 30 minutes. Citizens of Kazakhstan require a Schengen visa to enter Greece.

From Heraklion to Athens you can travel by local scheduled flights, which take about an hour, as well as by ferry to the popular islands of Santorini. The minimum cost of a round-trip ticket with all taxes is in economy class from 307,959 tenge.

Flights from Almaty to Podgoricathe capital of Montenegro, will resume from June 8 and will be performed on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and from Astana to Podgorica – from June 9 on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays.

From May 1 to October 31, 2024, citizens of Kazakhstan have visa-free entry to Montenegro for a stay of up to 30 days.

The minimum cost of a round-trip ticket with all taxes from Almaty to Podgorica in economy class starts from 282,551 tenge.

Flights are operated on an Airbus A321LR aircraft with a flight duration there from Almaty of 6 hours 55 minutes, and from Astana – 6 hours 30 minutes.
