Rescue the extremely rare brown-headed eagle

The rare Brown-headed Eagle landed in a garden next to a field in Mai Trung commune, Hiep Hoa district (Bac Giang) and could not fly. People contacted them to help rescue this eagle.

On March 13, the Center for Rescue, Conservation and Development of Organisms, Cuc Phuong National Park received and rescued an extremely endangered forest animal from people in Bac Giang.

This individual animal is a Brown-headed Eagle (scientific name is Aquila Heliaca), this animal belongs to group IB on the list of endangered, precious and rare forest animals (Decree 84/2021/ND-CP September 22, 2021 of the Government).

This is an extremely rare forest animal listed in the Vietnam Red Book and the IUCN Red Book.

It is known that this individual Brown-headed Eagle was not yet mature, had previously landed in a people’s garden next to a field in Mai Trung commune, Hiep Hoa district (Bac Giang) and could not fly.

Local people saw and arrested him. Knowing that this is a rare Brown-headed Eagle protected by law, Mr. Nguyen Van Que (a local resident) proactively contacted the Center for Rescue, Conservation and Biological Development (Cuc Phuong National Park). ) offers to receive and rescue.

Receiving the information, Cuc Phuong National Park sent staff to verify and guide people on the type of food and how to care for the Eagle to ensure health, and transferred this individual to Cuc Phuong National Park.

On the morning of March 13, Mr. Que and a number of people traveled from Bac Giang to Cuc Phuong National Park (Ninh Binh), hand-delivering the above individual Eagle to the Center for Rescue, Conservation and Development. Develop organisms to care for and nurture.
