Regenerating Indonesian Billiards, Carabao Billiards Sends 3 Indonesian Billiards Athletes to International Events

JAKARTA – Three Indonesian billiard athletes will take part in the Formosa Cup 2024 ACBS Asian Pool Championships in Taiwan on August 25-29, 2024. The three athletes are Johan Dewa, Made Aby, and Brian Axel.

They received full sponsorship from Hendra Kurniawan (Hendra Carabao) and Carabao Billiards to compete in the international competition. The departure of the country’s proud billiard athletes will represent Indonesia on the world stage.

It is known that the participation of the participants in the Formosa Cup is a form of support and recommendation by the Indonesian Billiards Sports Association (POBSI). Not only that, participation in the Formosa Cup is also a form of reward for Made Aby Permana for his victory in the 2023 Carabao Junior Open.

Meanwhile, Brian Axel also got this opportunity thanks to his brilliant achievement as Runner Up at the 2024 Indonesia International Open. Previously, Albert Januarta was also planned to join the three outstanding athletes. However, Albert also made his achievement by qualifying for the 2024 National Sports Week (PON) which will be held in Aceh.

Not only sent off, these three billiard athletes will also be accompanied directly by Johan Dewa and Hendra Carabao. Through these efforts, Hendra as the Founder of Carabao Billiards is committed to continuing to advance billiard sports in Indonesia by regenerating junior athletes.

Through Aby’s departure this time, he also hopes to be a motivation for junior billiard athletes to take part in the 2024 Carabao Junior Open. Hendra admitted that he dreams that one day there will be many Indonesian athletes who are able to compete in the highest billiards competition at the international level.
