The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has announced the recall of certain packages of Enfamil brand Nutramigen A+ LGG hypoallergenic infant formula.
Published yesterday at 2.39pm
The affected products are the 561 gram formats or the 561 gram four-packs of Nutramigen A+ LGG Hypoallergenic, distributed nationally. Their expiration date is January 1, 2025.
The products may have been contaminated with bacteria Cronobacter sakazakii. This is not commonly linked to human disease, but can still cause, in rare cases, serious and sometimes fatal infections.
People who own products affected by the recall should not consume them, but rather throw them away or return them to the place where they were purchased.
People who believe they have become ill after consuming this product should contact their doctor.
