In the drop in cases in the country organizing the World Cup.
The Qatari Ministry of Health announced this Wednesday that tourists and fans who are going to attend the 2022 World Cup will no longer have to present a negative PCR test or an antigen test upon arrival in the country, although they must be vaccinated.

The department said in a statement that this measure has been taken because “the number of Covid-19 cases continues to fall around the world and in Qatar.”

Likewise, he pointed out that citizens, residents and visitors in Qatar will have to comply with “basic preventive measures to reduce the risk of infection”, which consist of having the complete vaccination schedule, washing hands well, undergoing tests in case of that covid symptoms appear and “have a healthy life.”

This new decision revokes the one taken at the end of September, which stipulated that those attending the World Cup in November had to present before entering Qatar a negative PCR test issued in their country of departure and taken at least 48 hours before the flight, whether they were or not vaccinated.
