Punak is selling products at half price during Ramadan – 2024-03-18 06:37:36

Police Women’s Welfare Association (PUNAK) has taken the initiative to sell products at half price among marginalized women in Chuadanga. Jannatul Ferdous, president of district Punak, inaugurated this week-long program in front of the police line on Sunday (March 17).

Jannatul Ferdous said, 10 types of products will be sold among marginalized women during the week at half the market price. On the first day these products were sold among 105 marginalized women. The sale of these products will continue from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm every day from Monday. During this period, all the marginalized women who come to buy products will be able to buy products at affordable prices.

Customers can buy rice at Tk 25, dal at Tk 40, oil at Tk 80, sugar at Tk 68, potato at Tk 15, onion at Tk 28, chickpea at Tk 50, millet at Tk 64, gram flour at Tk 45 and dates at Tk 85 per kg.

Meanwhile, Superintendent of Police RM Faizur Rahman, Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Anisuzzaman Lalon, General Secretary of Punak Zobaida Akhter, Medical Officer of Police Hospital Dr. Humaira Akhtar, Special Branch of Police (DI-1) Inspector Abu Jihad Khan, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Chuadanga Sadar Police Station Sheikh Sekender Ali and others were present.
