On February 28, responding to VTC News reporter, a representative of Bac Tu Liem District Police (Hanoi) said that the unit had decided to prosecute the case, prosecute the defendant, and arrest Nguyen for 2 months. Le Tuan Duc (born 1991, residing in Ga Street, Thuong Tin, Hanoi) for the act of Destruction of property according to Article 178 of the Penal Code.
Duc is a Mazda car driver who used a knife to slash multiple times at the bus on Hoang Quoc Viet Street, Bac Tu Liem District on the day before Tet.
The male driver stopped the bus in the middle of the road and held a knife to slash the bus tire.
At the police station, Duc declared that he was driving a car on Hoang Quoc Viet Street when he was hit by a bus. Duc immediately drove up to block him, then held a knife and threatened the bus driver, slashing the bus’s tire multiple times.
According to images posted on social networks, the moment the Mazda driver used a knife to slash the bus tire, the bus driver and passengers barricaded themselves in the vehicle and used their phones to record the incident. After the incident, the bus window was slightly scratched and part of the tire was torn.
The property valuation council in criminal proceedings in Bac Tu Liem district determined the damage to destroyed property to be 18 million VND.
With the encouragement of his family, Duc then went to Bac Tu Liem District Police to report.
On February 27, Hai Ba Trung District Police (Hanoi) temporarily detained Tran Van Hiep (38 years old) and Trinh Thinh (44 years old) to investigate the case of a motorbike driver blocking and beating a car driver on Ring Road. 2 overhead.
