MADRID, 23 (Portaltic/EP)

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has added Meta’s latest large language model, Llama 3, to its Bedrock service, which has also implemented the ability to import custom models.

Bedrock offers a variety of high-performance foundational models from leading AI companies, along with a broad set of capabilities customers need to build generative AI applications, simplifying development while maintaining privacy and security.

This service has incorporated the new Meta model, Llama 3, which improves reasoning, code generation and instruction, and is offered in two sizes: 8,000 million parameters (8B) and 70,000 million parameters (70B).

Additionally, the technology firm has announced the ability to import customized foundation models into Bedrocks, those that allow developers to adapt their size to specific cases.

Currently in preview, this tool makes it easy to deploy these custom models in a secure and scalable way, by transferring them through Amazon SageMaker and Amazon S3.

Both new features have been implemented in the East and West regions of Amazon Web Services in the United States.
