Passenger car fell into La Son cliff

The case of a passenger bus falling into a cliff on the La Son – Hoa Lien route killed 2 people and injured 20 people who are being treated at hospitals in Da Nang.

On January 23, Doctor Le Duc Nhan, Director of Da Nang Hospital, said that the hospital received and treated 12 victims in the passenger car accident on the La Son – Hoa Lien route.

According to Dr. Nhan, after receiving the victims of the accident, the hospital focused on maximum medical care, doctors and equipment for examination and emergency treatment.

Up to now, the treatment of cases has been stable.

Three people suffered minor injuries and were discharged from the hospital after their injuries were treated. The remaining patients with broken arms and legs were transferred to the departments of Trauma Surgery and Thoracic Surgery for treatment.

“There is a victim seriously injured due to broken ribs, crushed lung, broken pelvis, and traumatic brain injury who is being monitored in the Resuscitation Department,” Dr. Nhan added.

In addition to the victims undergoing emergency treatment at Da Nang hospital, 6 people were transferred to Hoa Vang District Medical Center and Lien Chieu District Medical Center for treatment.

As Traffic Newspaper reported, at 1:30 a.m. on January 23, passenger bus BKS 47B – 010.67, driven by driver Phuong Thanh Tung (36 years old, residing in EaH’ Leo district, Dak Lak province), was running on the La Son – La Son route. Hoa Lien (Hoa Bac commune, Hoa Vang district, Da Nang city) facing South – North.

At Km 36+400, the passenger car suddenly ran off the road. The passenger car continued to crash into a reinforced concrete guardrail and fell into a deep abyss.

The incident killed 2 people and injured 20 people who are being treated at hospitals in Da Nang.

Immediately after the incident, Mr. Le Trung Chinh, Chairman of the People’s Committee and Head of the Traffic Safety Committee of Da Nang City, visited and encouraged the victims.

Chairman of Da Nang City People’s Committee directed the medical sector to make efforts to treat injured victims. Assign the Transport Department to arrange vehicles to take the victims back to their hometowns.
