The Iraqi TikTok celebrity known as Umm Fahad was the victim of a deadly shooting in Baghdad, Iraq, on Friday night.
According to a source baghdad police to the media, the popular Iraqi influencer on social networks, Ghufran Sawadiknown as Umm Fahadwas shot outside her residence in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, on Friday night.
The incident occurred in the area of Zayouna, located east of Baghdad, and was captured by a surveillance camera. The images, later shared on social networks, show an armed individual on a motorcycle shooting at Sawadi, resulting in his instant death. A Baghdad police source verified the authenticity of the video to the media.
The country’s Interior Minister declared on Friday that he was “forming a specialized work team to find out the circumstances of the murder of a woman known on social networks at the hands of unknown assailants.
Sawadi gained popularity on TikTok, where she shared videos dancing to pop music in tight-fitting outfits. Previously, the Iraqi justice system considered these inappropriate videos. Sawadi was sentenced to six months in prison for “producing and publishing multiple films and videos that contained obscene and indecent language, violating public decency and morality«, according to a statement from the Iraqi judicial system.
