Azerbaijani MMA fighter Mirali Huseynov won the belt at the “Lights Out Xtreme Fighting” competition held in Los Angeles, California, USA.
Publika.az reports that the 29-year-old athlete won the competition in the 75 kg category against the well-known MMA fighter, local athlete Tommy Aaron. He celebrated his victory in the arena wearing the tricolor flag of Azerbaijan.
Our compatriot told “Report” that he dedicated his victory to our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the integrity of Azerbaijan: “I was engaged in wrestling as a child. I have many championships in Azerbaijan. I have been the champion of Azerbaijan many times in MMA and I have represented our country in international competitions.
For two years, I have been preparing for competitions at the “America Kickboxing Academy (AKA)” in California. I have won some kind of victory before and will continue to succeed in the future. Although I am far from my country, I dedicate all my successes to Azerbaijan. I dedicate this victory to our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the integrity of Azerbaijan.”
M. Huseynov emphasized that his goal is to participate in the UFC (“Ultimate Fighting Championship” (UFC)) in the near future.
