Limburg United player Osun Osunniyi has been named defender of the year in the BNXT League.

The other nominees were Tumba and Rodriguez from Liège. Coach Raymond Westphalen was nominated for the coach of the year trophy, but that title narrowly goes to Dario Gjergja from Ostend. The Croat had only two points (104) more than Westphalen (102). He won the trophy for the fourth time and is now the sole record holder. With Damien Jefferson (MVP) and Pierre-Antoine Gillet (Belgian player of the year), Ostend takes the three most important trophies.

The other awards: Dutch player of the year: Marijn Ververs (ZZ Leiden), Dutch promise: Jibbe Sicking (ZZ Leiden), Belgian promise: Jo Van Buggenhout (Antwerp Giants), sixth man: Nikola Jovanovic (Antwerp Giants), Dutch coach : Radenko Varagic (BAL), referees: Nick Van den Broeck (Belgium) and Tijmen Last (Netherlands).
