From April 4 to 14, 2024 in the city of Sucre-Bolivia, the first edition of the Bolivarian Games “Sucre 2024” will begin with the participation of 7 South American countries: Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, Peru and Venezuela, with a total of 1,610 athletes.
The Ecuadorian delegation will participate with a total of 100 athletes in 19 sports disciplines, in which we can highlight the Olympic Wrestling discipline, where the name of the Catamayense Valeria Álvarez belonging to the records of the Loja Provincial Sports Federation prevails.
Álvarez was notified by the Ecuadorian Wrestling Federation, once the Ecuadorian Olympic Committee confirmed the participation quotas and fulfilled the National Wrestling Observatory and based on the results obtained; The warrior from the south received her one-way ticket to the 2024 Bolivarian Games, with the expectation of meeting her participatory goal of placing in the first three places in the 49kg freestyle, junior category.
