ÖHV President Veit is calling for relief for companies instead of campaign rhetoric in view of the forecast standstill in economic growth.
Vienna (OTS) – Austria’s politicians must wake up after the alarming WIFO forecast – dwindling economic growth until 2028 – and the Deloitte radar: The WIFO forecast is reflected 1:1 in the managers’ assessments, according to ÖHV President Walter Veit.
Factual politics instead of campaign rhetoric
In view of gloomy analyzes and standstill forecasts, election campaign rhetoric is the last thing that will bring back confidence in the location, says Veit: “We don’t want to hear what others are doing wrong! Show that you are doing better, organize majorities for laws that will move us forward! The country needs that!” says Veit.
Companies relieve the need of the hour
The Deloitte Radar shows where things need to go: towards relieving the burden on companies. “With a clear focus on SMEs and service providers in international competition. The money flows immediately back into the regional economy,” said the industry spokesman. Falling wage and sales taxes would have incredible effects: “If companies can offer cheaper products and consumers can buy cheaper, it will stimulate the location and the economy,” Veit is convinced.
