“Nostalgia” wins the Grand Theater Award

The activities of the third session of the National Festival of the Mohammed El Jem Award for Youth Theater concluded, on Saturday evening in Rabat, organized by the “Friends of Mohammed El Jem Theater” Association, in partnership with the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, under the high patronage of King Mohammed VI.

The closing ceremony of this artistic event was marked by the presence of a group of prominent figures from the people of art and culture, and the play “Nostalgia”, by the Aquafemelli troupe from the city of Laayoune, written and directed by Badr Saud, was crowned with the grand prize of the third session of the National Festival of the Mohamed El-Jem Award for Youth Theater.

The ceremony was also marked by the announcement by members of the jury of this session, headed by writer Muhammad Mustafa Al-Qabbaj, of the names of the theatrical works being mentioned. Actress Dounia El Mouradi won the Female Hope Award, for the play “All of them and Fahmo” by the Theater Revitalization Ensemble from the city of Dakhla, while actor Rachid Benomar won the Male Hope Award, for the play “La Kaf” by the La Cala Junior troupe from the city of Guelmim, and the Female Acting Award went to actress Doaa Hokoumi. , for the play “Exile” by the Sada Fez Association for Artistic Creativity from the city of Fez, and the Male Acting Award for Anas Tabet, for the play “Tallin” for the Oum Er Rabie Theater Club from Al-Faqih Ben Saleh.

Regarding the rest of the awards, the scenography award was won by Mohamed Zarkan, for the play “La Caf” by the La Cala Junior troupe from the city of Guelmim, and the composition award went to Abdel Fattah Ashiq, for the play “Tallin” by the Oum Er-Rbia Theater Club from the city of Fkih Ben Saleh, while the directing award went to Ayoub Bouchan. , about the play “La Caf” by the Lacala Junior troupe from the city of Guelmim.

It is noteworthy that the festival also organized technical workshops for the benefit of the teams participating in directing, acting and scenography, led by professors of the Higher Institute of Theatrical Art and Cultural Revitalization.
