Northern cities host the “Tamouda Triathlon”

All eyes are on the north of the Kingdom of Morocco, which is hosting the third edition of the triathlon race, which will take place in three cities: Martil, M’diq and Fnideq, during the period between 10 and 12 May.

On Thursday evening, the introductory press conference for the third edition of the triathlon was held in Casablanca, in the presence of a group of personalities interested in this type of sport and representatives of the national media. This competition has become the best in Africa and among the top 10 competitions in the Mediterranean region.

On this occasion, Kawthar Bendoumou, President of the Organizing Association, confirmed in a statement to “Hesport” that this edition will witness a major development compared to the previous edition, adding that “the race will continue to develop one edition after another, and this is one of the most prominent goals of the organizers.”

Bendomo explained, “The current edition will see the participation of more than 850 male and female heroes from 20 different nationalities, and it will be a good opportunity for them to discover the stunning natural landscapes that the region enjoys between the Rif Mountains and the shores of the Mediterranean Sea.”

Practicing sports will also be encouraged for a group of segments of society, including children, women and people with disabilities, with the distribution of 100 sports equipment and the organization of a special race for children in an unprecedented event, according to the same spokeswoman.

All people of different nationalities, professionals and amateurs, will be allowed to participate in 3 disciplines, namely swimming, cycling and running, in order to pump new blood into the arteries of sports enthusiasts, according to the same source.

For his part, Othman Benhalima, the tournament director, said in a statement to “Hesport”: “We are happy to announce the program for the third edition of the triathlon with various activities that will have a wonderful impact on the residents of the region.”

The same spokesman added: “We invite everyone to come and participate in this race to discover the beauty of the region, and this is one of our biggest goals, in addition to encouraging everyone to practice sports.”
