The night of June 7 will forever remain in the memory of the Lagunero singer, Norberto Flores.
And that day, the one born in Gómez Palacio fulfilled one of his great dreams: to sing in a theater with his proposal accompanied by great musicians.
Norberto, who has known how to combine his vocal talent with his good humor, offered a musical tour in which he presented songs by Juan Gabriel, Emmanuel and even Gloria Trevi, in addition to his unreleased song The Woman That I Like.
In a recent interview with El Siglo de Torreón, the artist expressed that he feared that his countrymen would leave him alone at his show, something that did not happen.
“I enjoy singing, I dreamed of being on stage, when I was 10 years old I woke up singing on a big stage. I want a ‘sold out’, not because of the vanity of money, but because that’s what I dreamed of,” he said.
Hundreds of Laguneros gathered at the Alberto M. Alvarado Theater, where the singer celebrated his 40 years of career in style.
The Golden Orchestra of the Torreón Musicians Union, Pablo Pacheco’s Mariachi Madrugadores, my friends Dos Tipos deCare by Armando Rodríguez and Ángel Flores (son of Norberto) accompanied the performer in this special concert.
Just after 8:00 at night, Norberto arrived on stage elegantly dressed in a black outfit.
His people welcomed him with open arms. He gave himself completely throughout the night.
Songs like Hug me very tight, The date, I lost my chain, Everyone is looking at me, Stay with me tonight and Paloma negra, were some of the songs he delivered at the concert, in which the spectators left their seats to dance in several of Norberto’s interpretations.
It should be noted that the Torreón Musicians Union recognized Flores for his four decades of career.
