It is certainly clear to you that breasts come in all possible shapes and sizes, but did you know that there are also different types of nipples? There are eight different types, and since nature is playful, it’s quite possible that you even have a combination of two of them.
Most people are very asymmetrical. So let’s see what they are.

Basically classified as “regular” or “normal” are those nipples that protrude above the surface of the areola by at least a few millimeters and point outward. If it is cold or if the owner of these nipples is excited, they will become even more erect and hard.

Unlike protruding nipples, nothing sticks out here. The breast appears to be basically smooth, because the nipple merges with the surface of the areola, and only when the woman is cold or when she gets excited, the nipples can protrude a little.

Not only the nipple, but also the entire areola are like a puffed-up muffin and sit on top of the breast. They are soft to the touch, but of course like all others they harden if they are exposed to erotic stimulation or the temperature drops rapidly.

Nipples can be indented in several ways. The least problems are caused by those that are only slightly inverted and thus can be brought to the stage of a normal nipple simply by stimulation. In the most difficult third stage, surgery is usually the only solution to the problems. Inverted nipples cause a problem during breastfeeding, but quite often the condition corrects itself during pregnancy and the nipples rise.

Same problem as mentioned above – but there is only one such nipple. If you have an inverted nipple since birth, then everything is fine. However, if the nipple appeared suddenly at a later age, it would be a good idea to go for an examination. It can be a sign that something is going on!

There may be bumps on the areolas, which is absolutely natural. These bumps are called Montgomery’s glands and are enlarged sweat glands. Everyone has them, but some people have them more visible than others. During breastfeeding, their task is to moisten the area around the nipple. They can become inflamed similar to acne.

Yes, ladies – you’re not alone in feeling ashamed of the hair growing out of your areolas around your nipples. It is a completely normal thing and it is safe to use tweezers to get rid of ingrown hairs. We all have follicles in this area from which hairs can grow, but some women are more prone to hair growth than others.

Don’t worry, you’re not a mutant if you have one – sometimes more than one – extra nipple. Those that are extra tend to be a bit smaller, often looking a bit like a freckle or birthmark. Just remember that it will temporarily increase in size during pregnancy.
